Cousin Date Night/ Valentines

We had two of my married cousin's and their husbands come to dinner and play games. It was a lot of fun getting to know their husbands better.
The NEWLYWEDS!!! Alesha and Johnathan.Valisa and Kyle. They brought their adorable little girl Berkley (seen below with McCall).Berkley came quite early and was only a few weeks younger than McCall but our little "Tank" could squish her like a bug. Hopefully they will be little buddies someday.McCall was SO tired by the end of the night that she fell asleep sitting up.
Valentines
This year was a flop. We went to our ward's Valentines dinner and dance the weekend before (which was a lot of fun). Troy is a better dancer than he will let on and you all know how much I LOVE to dance. It was great.
Valentines morning I made a pink breakfast with heart shaped french toast. It was yummy. Then we decided to go for a "quick trip" to Sam's Club. When we got home we fed the girls lunch and Troy got to work doing things around the house...and kept working...and working. I cleaned the house, did laundry and tried to keep myself busy while the girls were napping. When it was time for dinner Troy came inside to see that I had not made anything. He very kindly offered to take us out for dinner (it was 6:00pm on Valentines night there wasn't going to be anywhere that didn't have a 2 hour wait or wasn't fast food). His mother graciously offered to let us come eat with her (and our two nephews she was babysitting). It was really good and Kailey loved playing with her cousins. By the time we got home it was time for Kailey to go to bed and Troy had to work on church business for his early meetings the next day and the ward bulletin. I fed McCall and put her to bed and then watch a romantic movie (I borrowed from my mother-in-law) mostly by myself. Troy came in for a break and watched the ending with me. Then I went to bed and he kept working on the computer.
Needless to say I was a little disappointed, but my house was clean and I didn't have to cook ;) So I guess it wasn't that bad. Troy and I had a LONG conversation the next day and I found out that "We spent the whole day together" and that he thought the Marriage Celebration Seminar at Weber State (that we were going to the following weekend) was our "Valentines". After a few eye rolls and some suggestions for our Anniversary (in April) we agreed that a little more communication in our relationship would be a good thing. LOL! By the way, the seminar was really good. I would encourage everyone to go the next time they have one. It was a lot of fun, very entertaining, and had some really good information.

The whole "lack of any celebration on Valentines Day" must run in the family. We didn'y do ANYTHING!!! So feel blessed you got the seminar out of him!
