August 2010

Ward Camp out to Eden. We were only one of three families who slept over the first night, but there were a bunch the next night. Good food, friends, and games! It was so much fun!

Hike to the waterfall the next day.We spent family night at the Davis County Fair. The girls loved it!Their favorite part was the pony rides! Even McCall was brave enough! We hiked Timpanogos Cave with my father in law Dick. It was a hard hike for me. It was beautiful and a good experience...but I don't think we will be doing it again with little kids. There were some extreme drop offs on the hike up. We had to hold Kailey's hand the whole time! It was a good time though.Little buddies! They love to snuggle and watch movies or read stories.

Starting fresh today!

Okay, I know I am months behind. Alright, 8 months to be exact. Someday I hope to go back and fill in what we did. I have been putting off posting because I feel like it needs to be in order. Unfortunately, that also means NOTHING has been posted. Well today is the day that changes!
I am starting fresh!

Summer is quickly drawing to a close and it makes me sad for cold weather again, but excited for the beautiful colors of Fall! We have had a blast going to Cherry Hill all summer with friends and hope to get in some more camping trips.

Girls camp was AMAZING. Being in charge is stressful but well worth it. The girls were phenomenal and each activity was flawless. I couldn't ask for a better time. I got to work with some of the best leaders!

Luckily, three days before we had to leave for camp I started feeling better. My pregnancy has been rough this time around (Yes we are pregnant with #3!). I was laying on the couch from morning to night with massive migraines and nausea. I had to teach Kailey which button started Tinker Bell over AGAIN. Things have been worlds better since camp. Except dinner never sounds good unless I buy it at a restaurant ;)

My birthday stunk! I think I will be in charge next year.

Today I took the girls shopping and they were so bored. I went with the purpose of buying myself some birthday gifts but ended up finding the best decorations for our basement. Yes our basement is done (and has been for a while).

The girls are both sleeping, and Troy and I are going to a play at Roger's Theatre tonight. Yeah for date night. We have both vowed to do more of those.

Just for the record...I HATE POTTY TRAINING!!! I turn into the evil witch of the west! Preschool is starting soon and she is still having accidents! I don't know what else to try.

I am throwing a bridal shower for my youngest sister Heidi next week (yes she is engaged). I am trying to make my house presentable. It is still really weird that she is actually getting married. The BIG DAY will be Sept. 10th. She is engaged to a great guy that fits in well. He is smart, and talented (sings and plays guitar), and you can tell he adores her. They are still blissfully naive to the trials of marriage. They don't think the other one would EVER do anything to make them up set. LOL! Oh to go back to that stage ;)

McCall is getting so big. Most people don't recognize her. Her hair has lightened up so much this summer. She is saying more words, but mostly she just screams. She screams when she is happy and she screams when she is sad, angry, or just bored! Kailey and her know how to push each other's buttons and it makes me nervous for 3 kids. It is so hard to discipline McCall because she just laughs right out loud at you. I have smacked her mouth when she screamed bloody murder for fun at 10:30pm and she just laughed. I have set her in time out for hitting Kailey and she just laughed. Troy has yelled at her and she just laughed. Can't figure it out.

Well, I think that is enough for today. Hopefully I will post some pictures soon. I am trying to convince Troy to do some family pictures BEFORE my belly gets much bigger.
