Happy Halloween!

Troy and I took turns taking Kailey trick-or-treating on our street. She LOVED it! She would go up and knock on the doors all by herself, take a piece of candy and then say "ank ou" (Thank you!). It was really cute. She got really excited when she realized that she was getting candy! Here she is signing CANDY!

I was hoping to have a baby by now...but I am happy that she didn't come tonight.

Halloween Scavenger Hunt

My neighbor Kristine Krogue invited Kailey and I over for a Halloween scavenger hunt. All of the kids came in their costumes and we played on the swing set until everything was ready.

We broke into 4 teams and went to find our treasure chests and the keys to open them.

Then they all ate cake and got to take a swing at the pinata.

It was so much fun. Kailey LOVED playing with the other kids. Thanks Kristine! We had a blast!

Playing at the park.

I took Kailey for a walk and we ended up at the park. I was trying so hard to distract myself and enjoy these last couple of days with JUST Kailey.
I love those tights!

Trip to Logan

Well, since I DIDN'T get induced today Troy helped me take my mind off of my disappointment by taking me to Logan to hang out with my sisters. My sister Emily was going to the American West Heritage Center with some of her neighbors and invited us to come along with them. It was fun. They had a Hay Maze, Corn Maze, gourd toss, and a petting zoo.
Even Troy got in on the action. Then we went and saw my younger sister Michelle's new baby girl. Jade is so beautiful with thick dark hair. I can't believe how tiny she is...and she will only be a few weeks older than my baby. It made me nervous about starting all over with an infant (if she EVER gets here)!

The boy who cried WOLF!

Well, today started at 5:30 am when I called the hospital to see when we should come in for our induction. We got to the hospital at 7:15 am and left at 10:00 am. Yes, you read correctly "LEFT the hospital at 10:00am". They got me in my robe, gave me ice chips and suckers, took my vitals, gave me an IV (which hurt), and THEN checked my cervix. I am STILL ONLY A ONE!!!
My Dr. came in and told us that it was not a good idea to induce...so she sent us home. She said she would see me again (at her office) during the beginning of next week. The only silver lining of the whole morning was that she said "No matter what, I WILL induce you if you are a week over." So I guess I should STOP getting my hopes up until NOV. 8th! Blast! that sounds SO FAR AWAY!!!
As we were leaving the hospital (and as I was crying) I told Troy we needed to go to the book store so I could buy "The boy who cried wolf" for this little baby. I told him the nurses at the hospital aren't going to believe me when I come in for the real thing (if that every happens)!

Trip to McKay Dee

Tuesday night I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes from 7:00pm-11:30 when we went to sleep. They were painless so I wasn't too worried. At 2:00 am I got up to go to the bathroom and I couldn't feel the baby move. I tried multiple things to get her to move (poking her, changing positions, walking laps around the house, drinking juice and a candy bar and laying on my left side, etc). Nothing made her move...so of course I got really worried.

We called a neighbor (Thanks Amy I owe you) and took her a monitor to listen for Kailey...then we headed to the hospital (at 3:00am) to make sure the baby was all right. We got to the hospital and quickly learned that the baby was just fine and she started moving like crazy. It was such a relief!

The nurse confirmed that I was having consistent contractions so she checked me and I was still a 1. She called my Dr. and (knowing my history of fast labors) she said to have me "walk" around the hospital to see if I would dilate. 1 hour and 20 minutes later they checked me again and NO CHANGE! So they sent us home around 6:30am. DANG IT! I have still been having contractions all day (more like 5 or 6 minutes apart and still painless). We will see what the next couple of days bring. If I don't go on my own I am scheduled for an induction on Wed. 29th (if my cervix is dilated some more). If it isn't we will wait and see if I will go on my own.

Zoo!

We decided to get in one last trip to Hogle Zoo on Saturday. It was really fun because as we were headed up there we found out that Troy's brother Ty and his family were going too. Kailey always gets excited when she sees her cousins. The weather was so pleasant and Kailey was good for most of the trip.

Scrapbook weekend!

It was so fun to get together with all of you girls! We will definitely do it again for all of you who couldn't make it. We went to dinner at Chili's and then hung out until two in the morning! Only Me, Heidi Terry, Michelle Bangerter, and Kristine Krogue could sleep over which meant that we each had our own Queen size bed!!! I havn't slept that well in a long time. Then the next morning we finally got some digital scrapbooking done. We headed home at about 3:30pm. I can't wait to do it again. Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible ESPECIALLY my awesome mother-in-law for letting us use her beautiful home (I owe you big time).

Date Night/ Photo Shoot with Kailey

Troy and I made a goal to go for a date once a week (which is a big deal for us). The first week I was in charge and we got a baby sitter and went to a movie and got ice cream afterward (we saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which was the the WORST movie we have seen in a long time. I recommend NOT seeing it). This week Troy was in charge and we went to dinner and a bowling. Troy won both games (of course)! He is quite the professional. It was so much fun!
No! I am not holding TWO bowling balls ;) It was so much fun to just hang out with Troy. We definitely need to keep this up. Thanks to the Hulse's and the Krogue's for doing a baby sitting SWAP. If anyone else is interested in swapping babysitting...Give us a call. I found this adorable outfit for Kailey at Ross. It makes her look like a "little girl" and not my baby! She loves to pose and say "CHEESE" for the camera, then come and look at her pictures afterward.

Pumpkin Patch

For family night we went to Pack's Pumpkin Patch with the Hulse's and Krogue's. We started at the "Hay Bale Maze" (we didn't want to take the kids into the corn maze so we let them find their way around the Hay Bale Maze).
Kailey loved running around (especially with the other kids). Then we headed off to find the Perfect Pumpkins!

We even found one for the baby.

We ended the night with chocolate chip cookies and Gatorade. Yummy!
I think the cookies were Kailey's favorite part.
