Bear Lake!

The Willie Family invited us up for a sleep over at their cabin in Bear Lake. They are the people my parent bought their house from, the dad (Paul) is the stake president, and all of their kids are close in age to all of my siblings (not to mention some of our BEST FRIENDS). It was very generous of them to invite us (and our kids). They provided most of the food and it was so much fun to catch up and play games. Of course Troy had to get some fishing in...
Then we hit the beach.
Kailey loved to play in the sand with her cousins James and Stephen.
She even threw food for the birds!
My older sister Emily and IWe grabbed some Raspberry shakes and headed to Logan where we later met the rest of my family for dinner at Iggy's. Kailey get so excited each time she sees grandma and grandpa Brandley.
My little sister Michelle and her HAPPY husband Jevan (I don't think he knew i was taking his picture. LOL!)

My sister Amber and her husband Ryan

Their little girl Lydia

and their twin boys Daniel and Russel

Kisses for Dad

It is a good thing we decided to take another belly picture because Amber went into labor that night! Michelle (in the red) is due 3 weeks before me. My other sister Emily just had a little boy in March (Josh), Amber had a little boy (that night and named him Ethan), Michelle is having a little girl (in October and is thinking about the name Maddison), and I am having a little girl (and we have not agreed on any names yet). It will be so fun to have cousins so close together!

Summer Time!

I know, I know, it has been way too long since I updated my blog. Summer just gets so busy! Not to mention I have been re-reading the Twilight series again (because the new book comes out next month). If anyone else has read it...I am voting for Jacob this time around.
Anyway, back to what we have been up to. Kailey and I have gone to Cherry Hill quite a few times and when ever I don't feel like packing everything up we just go run through the sprinklers! Kailey didn't quite like it at first but she is getting more brave.

One of our favorite parts of the day is when "DADDY GETS HOME!" Kailey is deffinately a daddy's girl!
Just look at her smile...she knows she has daddy wrapped around her finger!

Sunday Evening Concert

Layton city does a FREE concert in the park by the layton suf-n-swim every sunday night. My in-laws invited us to go with them and my sister-in-law, her husband, and their little boy. It was a fun activity and Kailey just couldn't get enough of her grandpa Parkin.

Family Reunion in McCall Idaho!

Troy's family had a reunion in McCall idaho over the 24th of July. Kailey did pretty well on the drive up to Boise friday night but it would have been nice to have a DVD player in our van (for me and Kailey). We discovered a week before the trip that Kailey loves to sit in the drivers seat and push every button she can find and pretend to drive. She even tried to talk on the phone and drive at the same time (hmmm I wonder where she has seen this before...Troy! just kidding I am guilty as well) We can't believe how much she catches on to. When we stopped for dinner or gas we would let her take a break from her car seat and sit in the front. She loves it and cries when we take her away.We spent a lot of our time down at the lake on the beach or in the pool right by it. Kailey loved to play in the sand! It was so fun to get to know Troy's cousins better. This is Jen and her husband Guy (who was nice enough to bring up their boat and take everyone for rides, or give them ski, or wake boarding lessons) and their kids Connor and Summer.Guy and SummerMy in-laws Dick and Kris were so kind and helpful with Kailey! They watched her several times so Troy and I could go do things on our own. They even treated us to huckleberry icecream cones at "Ice Cream Alley" (a small ice cream stand in town) Thanks you guys! All of us went to a local park so our kids could play.
Our nephew Shawn was so kind and held on to Kailey while they went down the slide. He is so gentle and sweet to her. She loves to see him and his three brothers.

She didn't want to go down the twisty slide alone so dad had to go with her.
She loved it when grandma Parkin would push her in the swings!

The weather was perfect and the sunsets were amazing.
It was so nice to only be in charge of one dinner and one breakfast. The rest of the time we woke up to the smell of someone else making breakfast, or we would come back from swimming and dinner was on the table waiting for us (that is my idea of a vacation!). We took a lot of walks, bike rides, trips to the beach, played games, and enjoyed being together. Kailey loved to play with Halle (Troy's cousin Dan's little girl).

Kelli, Gina, and I

We also went with Dan, Kelli, and Dick to a frisbee golf course. It was amazing how big this place was, and the course was not easy. It basically took you through thick shrubs and pine trees and fields of wild flowers. We spent a good deal of time trying to find our frisbees or getting them out of trees. It was really fun!
Troy
DickDanKelliMe (I did awful by the way, I stopped counting when I was 9 over par on the SECOND one)even Kailey wanted a turn to throw it.
Other than the awful mosquitos we had a great time.
We had such a blast and we can't wait for the next family reunion!
