Grandma Brandley's visit

My dad had to come down this way for a meeting, so my mom came along with him and spent some time with us. The girls LOVED playing with grandma, but most of all they loved listening to her read them stories. I realized that I read in the same animated way as my mom. You need to come down more often Grandma. We all LOVED it!

Uncle Ty's boat

Troy's brother Ty took us for a ride in his boat up East Canyon. Kailey loved it...although it doesn't look like it in this picture ;)McCall HATED her life jacket, but didn't seem to mind the ride.My nephew Nick wasn't quite sure about going out on the tube all by himself...but enjoyed it in the end. What a brave kid.Older brother Shawn was the flag boy.

It was a lot of fun. We are glad Ty bought a boat so we don't have to ;) Troy and I both took one too many spills on the wake board, but it was worth it.

Tracy Aviary

We decided to try the Tracy Aviary. I am positive Troy liked it better than the rest of us. Troy knows all the different kinds of birds (where they come from, what they eat, colors, habits, etc). To Kailey and I it was more like "Hey look ANOTHER bird." LOL! It was pretty exciting when their bird show was postponed because one of their employees sprained her ankle walking down some stairs. They even called the EMT's who hauled her out on a stretcher. Give me a break! Oh well, the show was entertaining. Totally left wing (no pun intended) save the planet stuff, but still entertaining.

Brandley Family Reunion 2009

Every year my parents and their 7 children, and their children get together for a family reunion. This year I was in charge. We camped at Cinnamon Creek (in Cache Valley) It is so beautiful and has a perfect camp site right by the river and is always shady. The theme that I choose was ROBIN HOOD! Here is a shot of all the "Maid Marion's"
...and the awesome hats we made.
The ROBIN HOODS! (whistle, whistle). Unfortunately, three of the husbands had to work that day...so they were not there for this shot.My dad has this amazing leather hat that we tried to replicate with paper...Here is Troy modeling it for us.Not to shabby! We went on a hunt to find the treasure that the sheriff of Noting ham had stolen from us. We found our treasure and also found some great things to make bugs out of. Just add a few wiggly eyes to twigs and leafs and poof you have bugs! The kids had fun, but I think the adults liked it more.

The kids LOVED digging in the dirt box to find the MONEY!

Unfortunately, I didn't get anymore pictures. We had a great time, ate good food, and enjoyed each other's company. I am just glad there are 7 kids so I won't have another turn being in charge for a LONG time!
