McCall turned 2!!!

McCall turned 2!!!

My baby isn't much of a baby anymore! A little about McCall right now:

She is so happy all the time. We moved her into a BIG GIRL BED and she LOVES it! She loves to snuggle (especially when she first wakes up). She goes down the stairs so fast on her tummy that I always run over to see if she fell. She just looks up at me and says "Fast!" with a big smile on her face. She is such a good eater. She LOVES HORSES! She is trying to do somersaults like Kailey. Of course she wants to do everything Kailey is doing. She will always play with a ball before any other toy. She wants to sit on the potty (but I am NOT ready for that yet). McCall just smiles when we get angry with her, she is perfect at sitting in time out, and she LOVES babies! She likes to help me unload the dishwasher and will hand me one utensil at a time. She helps make her bed and then says "I did it!" She comes in to my room in the morning and says "wake up!" She loves to listen to stories (especially ones with animals. She only wants to sing songs about grandpas. She pretends everything is a baby including snowballs, blankets, shoes, etc. She loves to dance with Kailey, watch movies, loves her nursery teachers. She is a good eater and her favorite thing to eat is oatmeal. When we come home we all take our shoes off and race to see who can put their shoes away first. It is one of her favorite things to do. She is learning to put her coat away (even though it is on the floor it is in the closet). She loves to spin in dresses, often has to play the boy or "husband" with Kailey but doesn't mind as long as she is included.

She really is my little sunshine!

BOY OR GIRL?!?

We had our big 20 week ultra sound today! The tech said "Let's get right to it OK?" She showed us the babies little bottom and Troy says (somewhat reserved) "It's a girl." Then the tech said "Yep, it's a girl...with a _____(male organ)!" LOL! We are going to have a BOY! Kailey was so excited she started jumping up and down yelling "A boy, a boy, a BOY!!!"
Troy was in shock, I don't think it really sunk in for a few hours. He is so excited though.
I have to admit I am even more excited! I couldn't help buying some boy clothes that were on clearance at Wal-mart later that day.
I am always relieved to hear that everything else is looking good on the baby too. The heart, lungs, kidney, bladder, legs, fingers, head, and spine are all perfect! It is all measuring the right size for my due date in March.
We can't wait to see you little guy!

Baby #3 news

Troy felt the baby kick for the first time yesterday! 19 weeks and counting. We have our big ultra sound next Tuesday to find out if we are having a girl or a boy! So excited.

Kailey informed me that "Heavenly Father told me we are going to have a BOY baby!" I sure hope so Kailey because three girls would be A LOT OF DRAMA! ;) I guess we will wait and see. I am secretly hoping it is a boy because I can only come up with boy names.

September 2010

We went camping at Franklin Basin and hiked Tony's Grove. It was a tough hike! Troy ended up carrying both girls for a lot of the time.My parents came up for hot dogs and smores, and my sister Amber and her family camped with us too. My girls loved having their cousin Lydia there with them!Kailey started preschool! She was SO excited.Loved her new backpack! Not to mention she loved her teacher Mrs. Heidi (who is also one of my best friends)McCall completely broke down when she realized she was NOT going with Kailey. She cried for at least two hours. My sister Heidi got married! We all think her husband Allan is great. Kailey might have a little crush, but Allen is taken and her cousin Steve is still available in her mind ;) They danced all night at their reception. So darn cute because Steve is a really good dancer. Spins her and all. I just have to break her heart and tell her she can't marry her cousin. We met up with my sister Michelle and her cute Jade and went to Willow Park Zoo.Best Buds!

August 2010

Ward Camp out to Eden. We were only one of three families who slept over the first night, but there were a bunch the next night. Good food, friends, and games! It was so much fun!

Hike to the waterfall the next day.We spent family night at the Davis County Fair. The girls loved it!Their favorite part was the pony rides! Even McCall was brave enough! We hiked Timpanogos Cave with my father in law Dick. It was a hard hike for me. It was beautiful and a good experience...but I don't think we will be doing it again with little kids. There were some extreme drop offs on the hike up. We had to hold Kailey's hand the whole time! It was a good time though.Little buddies! They love to snuggle and watch movies or read stories.

Starting fresh today!

Okay, I know I am months behind. Alright, 8 months to be exact. Someday I hope to go back and fill in what we did. I have been putting off posting because I feel like it needs to be in order. Unfortunately, that also means NOTHING has been posted. Well today is the day that changes!
I am starting fresh!

Summer is quickly drawing to a close and it makes me sad for cold weather again, but excited for the beautiful colors of Fall! We have had a blast going to Cherry Hill all summer with friends and hope to get in some more camping trips.

Girls camp was AMAZING. Being in charge is stressful but well worth it. The girls were phenomenal and each activity was flawless. I couldn't ask for a better time. I got to work with some of the best leaders!

Luckily, three days before we had to leave for camp I started feeling better. My pregnancy has been rough this time around (Yes we are pregnant with #3!). I was laying on the couch from morning to night with massive migraines and nausea. I had to teach Kailey which button started Tinker Bell over AGAIN. Things have been worlds better since camp. Except dinner never sounds good unless I buy it at a restaurant ;)

My birthday stunk! I think I will be in charge next year.

Today I took the girls shopping and they were so bored. I went with the purpose of buying myself some birthday gifts but ended up finding the best decorations for our basement. Yes our basement is done (and has been for a while).

The girls are both sleeping, and Troy and I are going to a play at Roger's Theatre tonight. Yeah for date night. We have both vowed to do more of those.

Just for the record...I HATE POTTY TRAINING!!! I turn into the evil witch of the west! Preschool is starting soon and she is still having accidents! I don't know what else to try.

I am throwing a bridal shower for my youngest sister Heidi next week (yes she is engaged). I am trying to make my house presentable. It is still really weird that she is actually getting married. The BIG DAY will be Sept. 10th. She is engaged to a great guy that fits in well. He is smart, and talented (sings and plays guitar), and you can tell he adores her. They are still blissfully naive to the trials of marriage. They don't think the other one would EVER do anything to make them up set. LOL! Oh to go back to that stage ;)

McCall is getting so big. Most people don't recognize her. Her hair has lightened up so much this summer. She is saying more words, but mostly she just screams. She screams when she is happy and she screams when she is sad, angry, or just bored! Kailey and her know how to push each other's buttons and it makes me nervous for 3 kids. It is so hard to discipline McCall because she just laughs right out loud at you. I have smacked her mouth when she screamed bloody murder for fun at 10:30pm and she just laughed. I have set her in time out for hitting Kailey and she just laughed. Troy has yelled at her and she just laughed. Can't figure it out.

Well, I think that is enough for today. Hopefully I will post some pictures soon. I am trying to convince Troy to do some family pictures BEFORE my belly gets much bigger.
