I grew up in a tiny town called Mendon. It is nestled on the west mountains of Cache Valley (opposite Logan). Every year they have a May Day Celebration. It is a really OLD custom that comes from...Sweden or Denmark or somewhere. Anyway, all of the girls (grades 1st -5th) dance around a May Pole. There are color coordinated streamers hanging down from the pole that the dancers hold on to as they dance and sing. At the end of the performance the pole has been braided. It is really neat to see and the girls are all so cute!

What a neat tradition! That could be a scene straight out of a movie. I have never seen a May pole, that is so cool! Your sister is beautiful, you look a lot alike!
That is a really cool tradition...I didn't know you were such a small town girl..did I? The pole looks awesome, what a cool and cute little sis you have...must be the name! You two do look alike! Looks like lot's-o-fun!
How fun to do that every year! I have this dream to live in a really small town--will probably never happen though.
You look so much like your sister! Do you look pregnant yet? I liked the yard pictures. Your lawn was definitely worth the long wait...
Looks like fun. I love how Kailey scrunches up her nose...it's so cute!
