Family visits and Thanksgiving party

Jade and her parents (my sister Michelle and her husband Jevan) slept over at our house.
My girls LOVE their cousin JADE!Our family mini golfing at Boondock'sJade, Jevan, and MichelleHeidi and her boyfriend AllanOne of the cool things about Boondock's mini golf is that they have these wheels you can spin that tell you different ways to change up the game. The other neat thing is that the sphinx spews FIRE when you make the last shot.Sorry I don't know why I filmed this sideways

McCall's birthday party (finally)

We finally had everyone healthy enough to do a birthday party for McCall. We had all of the Parkin family over to celebrate. She always had lots of "helper" to open her presents. Some of the high light gifts were a sweater from McCall Idaho (she was named after), and...and a dress for her new doll (identical to the one grandma made for McCall's blessing).Grandma Parkin is so talented.

still alive!

Wow! Has it really been that long? I have a TON to catch up on. The problem is I feel really overwhelmed and don't know where to start. Maybe I will just start with today and fill in the last couple months when I get time.

My kids are finally feeling better. It felt like they were NEVER going to get over it.

My parents accepted an offer on their house. We went up to help them move some stuff last Saturday. Sometimes I wish I lived closer so I could help more...but I am sure my mother is glad I don't (because I have a tendency to want to junk things BEFORE you have to move them).

Troy's business has been REALLY SLOW lately. As a result he has been around the house more and we actually cleaned up our basement and re-organized, took a trip to DI, and to the dump. Ahhh...to de-clutter! It is SO LIBERATING!

It is weird to check me and my sister's business email and not see ANYTHING because the Halloween rush was SO CRAZY! We will have to remember that next year.

Troy and I finally broke down and bought NEW COUCHES!!! The are really pretty chocolate brown leather couches with double recliners. I would post a pictures, but they can't deliver them until the 1st of DEC!!! GRRR! Oh well, I guess I have lived with these ugly slip cover couches so long...What is another month?

We had a REALLY fun ward party, it was kind of like a progressive dinner (minus the progressive part). Basically we hosted 4 couples at our house (everyone bringing some part of dinner). We were supposed to meet the ward at the church after dinner but we were having such a good time that we didn't get over there in time. It made me decide that we needed to do more/get to know more couples in our neighborhood. We really enjoyed getting to know the Hintzy's, Elkin's and Potter's.

Christmas is coming and Troy and I can't decide if we want to get a NEW CAMERA, or a badly needed NEW MATTRESS.

Lastly, I am NOT READY FOR COLD WEATHER YET!!! We were going to get our Christmas lights up BEFORE it got too cold...LOL! So much for that.

Disney Princess's on Ice

My friend Jessica got us some great tickets to Disney Princess's on Ice. The little girls dressed up, but I think the mom's liked it as much or more than the little girls did. Kailey is still talking about it. Kailey's favorite princess was Cinderella

McCall's rotten birthday

McCall got to spend her day at the Doctors. She has been so sick and miserable. They made us wear these mask at the Dr. appointment. McCall was so lethargic she didn't even try and take it off. Poor thing.Daddy can always make you happy though. Happy Birthday my princess. Get better soon and we can have a party for you! You add so much to our lives.

Halloween & Steve's homecoming

My little brother Stephen got home from his mission to Korea today!
Kailey wouldn't leave him alone!Since it was Halloween everyone dressed up when we went to the airport to pick him up.
Heidi brought her boyfriend Allan. They were cowboys...which isn't really dressing up for Allan ;)Matt was a tough guy :) He didn't really dress up but I thought this picture was so cute.Emily, Mark and their kids.Michelle, Jevan, and JadeTroy didn't dress up.My oldest sister Amber met all of us at my house. We had dinner and then took the kids trick or treating! They had so much fun. It was even pretty warm this year.
